Back in the beginning, our founder, Ed Bettinardi's mother had macular degeneration. At that time, the only electronic magnifiers available were large expensive CCTV's that incorporated a camera, an X-Y tray and a monitor. Her question was; "Why do these products have to take up half of my dining room table and cost several thousand dollars?"

And, at that dining room table, the very first hand-held electronic magnifier was developed from a modified baby video monitor, some lights and cables that connected it to Mom's television.

From those humble beginnings we have grown to provide a full-line of products that enrich the lives of those with low-vision needs.
